What is PulseCode

Introducing PulseCode electronic lock solutions from Master Lock – combining our 90–year heritage of builiding proven locks with state–of–art access control and incredible application flexibility. So you can count on superior protection, effortless system management and greater peace of mind.

PulseCode electronic lock solutions are engineered with distinctive E-Lock technology, which enables the PulseCode system to operate without direct contact between the lock and key. In fact, there's no keyhole or conventional key at all. Instead, the technology uses an encrypted sequence of mechanical pulses, transmitted by the PulseCode key held against a solid surface. The opening code passes straight through to the lock – even through solid metal, wood or glass. If the lock hears the correct code, it opens.

The modular design of the PulseCode lock system means it works in almost any situation. PulseCode allows you to seamlessly integrate all your security needs into a single system. Interior and exterior passage doors, containers, roll-up and swing doors on a variety of trucks and trailers, drawers and cabinets — all can be secured with just one key.

Distinctive Technology

PulseCode utilizes E–Lock technology – a distinctive security concept that enables the PulseCode system to operate without direct contact between the lock and key. The timing intervals between pulses contains the lock's encrypted opening code, which is transmitted by the PulseCode key held against a solid surface. With PulseCode, the intelligence is in the lock, not the key. The lock listens to the code and when the Piezo sensor hears the correct sequence, the lock opens.

The 16–digit, randomly encrypted code allows for billions of possible code combinations. E-Lock LogoThis makes the PulseCode system extremely secure, because it never uses the same encrypted code twice. So it's impossible to imitate the key – even by recording the code.

Maximum Security and Built–in Toughness

You can mount a PulseCode lock on the inside of a door or on whatever else you need to secure – cabinets, cases, enclosures, drawers… you name it. It’s hard to attack what you can’t even see. With the PulseCode locking mechanism concealed from the outside, and no keyhole or contact point needed to open the lock, it’s virtually impossible to detect – let alone bypass, pick or vandalize. And it only can be opened by an authorized user. Now that’s maximum security.

Plus, all PulseCode locks feature heavy-duty construction, corrosion-resistant materials and robust mechanical locking strength for a toughness that’s hard to challenge.

Access Control and Flexibility

With PulseCode, you don’t have to worry about key control. PulseCode randomly encrypts each transmission and keys require a unique user code – and a lost key won’t work without the code. Even if anyone should ever get unapproved access to a key and its code, you can always simply reprogram the lock not to accept the key. Problem solved.

A PulseCode lock system is flexible, accommodating almost any number of locks, keys and users. Each PulseCode lock can be programmed to be opened by up to 500 different codes. Each key can open any number of locks, with either the same or different codes. And you can reprogram opening codes in about 10 seconds, right in the field. This allows you to make instant decisions about security and access control parameters.

Two Modes of Security

PulseCode locks offer two different modes of operation: Standard and Audit.

In Standard mode, all you need to program a lock is a PulseCode key. In addition to sophisticated key management, Standard mode allows you to change security parameters or reprogram locks right on the spot – simple and quickly, using only the key.

Audit mode adds a whole new level of functionality and control. It uses Windows®–based software to centrally mamage the entire system. You can even track individual lock operations such as event time and date, or user identification.

Simple Administration

With the PulseCode software suite, you can centrally manage the Audit functionality of the entire system. The host software works on the industry–standard, Windows®–based SQL server platform – providing a complete database of locks, keys and users. Set–up is simple; it takes only minutes to assign or change users, keys and locks. Use the mobile software to retrieve Audit information and download updates to the lock. Screenshot of Simple Admin. With PulseCode, you'll always know who accessed a lock and when. The locks store, allowing you to recover and report, hundreds of lock operations – including event time and date, key identification and lock status.

Easy Installation

PulseCode locks mount on virtually any surface. There’s no need for through-holes. And the battery-powered design means you don’t have to worry about power supply or low voltage electrical wiring. You can complete most installations in minutes with basic tools. Use them anywhere you need security.

Cost–effective access control. Flexible management. Simple installation. PulseCode electronic lock solutions can help you better secure your facilities, resources, assets – and your peace of mind. Whatever security challenge you face, you can count on PulseCode.
